Growing up in the farming community of Waterville, Washington, I spent many years working on my family’s wheat ranch, and I still own some of the land that is leased out. I graduated as a teacher with degrees in Speech Communications and Biology from Washington State University where I spent several years working in the theatre department as an actor and behind the scenes. I received an English degree from the University of Washington and then my Masters in Educational Administration from Central Washington University.
I’m excited to be in Goldendale following more than thirty years in the Eastmont School District where I served in several roles including teacher, assistant principal, principal, alternative programs administrator, and, as an added responsibility, the director of transportation.
My three grown children have chosen to work in public service as well—a policeman, a pastor, and a future counselor. My two children who are at home are very active in sports and activities. I enjoy biking, hiking, and music. I am very happy to be a part of the Goldendale community.
