Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Jennifer Tenney

I was raised in the small Northwest Montana town of Libby where my father was a full-time logger and a part time farmer. Through his example I learned that success and hard work walk hand in hand. My husband and I lived in Alaska for many years. We raised the three oldest of our five children in Ketchikan where we enjoyed fishing and camping. In 1999 we moved to White Swan where we raised our youngest two children. I returned to college after our youngest child entered Kindergarten. Where I graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education and a Masters in Educational Leadership and Administration. I am excited to be in Goldendale as the Principal of the Middle School after serving many years in the Mount Adams and Yakima School Districts. Throughout my teaching career I had the opportunity to work in the elementary, middle school and high school levels. In 2018 I was ESD105 Teacher of the year. In this role I advocated for students in small rural districts at both the local and state level. I have also served as a Math Instructional Coach and an Assistant Principal. I believe in children and hold sacred the responsibility that we have as educators to help our youth become responsible contributing citizens in our community, state, nation and world.
